Fast Facts: It will cost about $475,000 to add two new traffic lights in Stone Oak: one at Sigma and one at Methodist Hospital. Traffic through Stone Oak has been professionally evaluated every year since 1995 when we were annexed by San Antonio. These evaluations determine the placement of stop signs and traffic lights. EMS Station #46, serving the Stone Oak area, is only staffed during “peak periods” (approx. 8 hours per day). It will cost the community $1 million to make them full time. This is an expense that has been approved by Councilman Kevin Wolff. District 9 (our district) contributes approximately 24% of San Antonio property taxes but only about 10% of it is returned to our community. 78258 is the fastest growing residential and commercial zip code in San Antonio.
